Physician and mental health advote Gia Sison has passed away. She was 53.

Her demise was confirmed by her family through a series of tributes throught their social media accounts on Thursday.

"No words can express the sorrow but I am happy you are peaceful now, no pain, no sufferings. I love you so much my soulmate, my Henny Hen," Rogin said.

Their daughter Angela likewise took to social media to pay tribute to her mom.

"I will forever love these photos of you smiling because they captured your joy, the joy you so effortlessly spread to the world," she wrote on Facebook.

"I will miss you forever mom, but I know you will be with us and that your kindness lives forever, we love you!!" Angela added.

Sison's death was first confirmed by the ​​Asociación de Alumnas de Poveda.

A breast cancer survivor, Gia served as the Head of Makati Medical Center's Women Wellness Center and advocated for breast cancer awareness. She also led the Livestrong Foundation and the National Adviser of the Youth for Mental Health Coalition.

The physician recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she had suffered a “sudden cardiac death” on February 25. She added that she had gone through an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator procedure.

“I died for six seconds, stuck in a black hole then suddenly scooped back in with the prominent voice of my husband repeatedly asking me to ‘come back’ after which I heard him apologize for defibrillating me and the rest just happened so fast,” she wrote.

Gia was also known for hosting podcast episodes for shows such as The Linya-Linya Show and Walwal Sesh.
