According to Genie Music, ZEROBASEONE's upcoming debut album "YOUTH IN THE SHADE" had already achieved 780,000 stock pre-orders on June 26 — five days since order details were dropped.
With this remarkable figure, ZEROBASEONE has set a new record for the most stock pre-orders for a debut album by a K-pop group in history.
The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock produced prior to the release of an album.
The statistic represents the expected demand based on a variety of factors, including the number of records pre-ordered by enthusiasts.
Previously, ZEROBASEONE demonstrated their popularity by surpassing 1 million followers on their official Instagram account six days after it was created, making them the first K-pop group to do it in less than a week.
The nine-member project group, consisting of Sung Han Bin, Kim Ji Woong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu Vin, Park Gun Wook, and Han Yu Jin, created on Mnet's survival show "Boys Planet," will make its debut on July 10 at 6 p.m. KST with their mini-album, "YOUTH IN THE SHADE."
