Former Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co will attend the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on Friday, November 14, via Zoom, Senator Imee Marcos said.
In an interview with reporters on Thursday, November 13, Marcos revealed that a few congressmen will also attend the scheduled hearing, stating, “‘Yung mga congressman pupunta doon, may script na daw sila, at liliwanagin na walang kinalaman si [former House Speaker] Martin Romualdez.”
When asked whether lawmakers are expected to defend the former House speaker during the hearing, Marco clarified that her statement was merely based on her understanding. She also emphasized that her remarks should not be construed as an attempt to provoke a rift with other congressmen.
“Hindi ko inaaway ‘yung mga congressman. Napag-utusan lang ‘yung iba dyan,” she explained.
The senator mentioned that she will be flying to Ilocos, but would try to attend the committee hearing on Friday.
