Before becoming a coach, OPM singer Zack Tabudlo once stood on the The Voice Kids Philippines stage as a hopeful contestant, competing in the show’s first season in 2014 under coach Bamboo, and was eliminated early in the competition.
More than a decade later, Tabudlo has come full circle after being named one of the coaches for the program’s seventh season. He now sits alongside Julie Anne San Jose, Billy Crawford, and Ben&Ben’s Paolo and Miguel, marking a milestone as the first former contestant to return to the show as a coach for the kids.
Reflecting on the moment, Tabudlo took to Facebook to share his emotions, recalling his journey.
“11 years ago, I stood here… a kid with a dream, as a contestant in this competition and lost," he said. “Today, I stand here as a winning coach.”
He also extended his congratulations to Sofia Mallares, the champion of The Voice Kids seventh season.
Fans and netizens flooded social media with messages congratulating both Tabudlo and Mallares, praising their accomplishments on the show.
