Singer and actor Yohance Levi Buie, who was a former The Voice Kids contestant, died on November 10. He was 17.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yohance Levi A. Buie. We are deeply saddened by this loss, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” his agency Virtual Playground Global announced on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Yohance’s cause of death was not included in the statement, but the agency urged people suffering from mental distress to seek professional help.

“Yohance Buie was a remarkable talent who shone in the entertainment world,” the agency added, noting how his journey started as a contestant in ABS-CBN’s The Voice Kids under the mentorship of Sharon Cuneta.

The agency added that Buie also ventured into acting roles on Amazon Prime’s “Day Zero” and in Regal’s Youtube series, “The Day I Loved You.”

“His passion and dedication to his craft were evident in every role he took on, and he will be remembered for the indelible mark he left on the world of entertainment,” Virtual Playground Global said.
