Bobi, the Portuguese purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo dog who was bestowed with the world's 'oldest dog living' title, just turned 31 years old!
In a news release, Bobi's owner Leonel Costa told Guinness World Records that he threw a "traditional" birthday party for his beloved pet at their home in the rural village of Conqueiros, in Leiria, Portugal last May 11.
More than 100 guests attended the party, including journalists and people from various countries.
Meats and fish were served since Bobi only eats human food, Costa said.
When asked about Bobi's condition, Costa shared that since Bobi is now in his senior years, he has bad eyesight and cannot properly walk.
But he noted his beloved fur baby has been in "good health in these past months."
In February this year, the Guinness World Records awarded Bobi as the oldest dog living and oldest dog ever. He broke the record of Spike, a 23-year-old Chihuahua, who was the previous title holder.
Happy 31st birthday, Bobi!
