Agatha Wong bagged the first silver medal of the Philippines in the 2023 World Combat Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The five-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist placed second in the women's wushu taolu taijiquan and taijijian event on Sunday, October 22, after garnering a score of 19.486 points.
Wong managed to ellicit a score of 9.743 points in both the taijiquan and taijijian categories.
Hu Shuting of China ruled the event after tallying 9.770 points in the taijiquan category, and 9.763 points in the tajijian category for a total score of 19.533 points.
Clemente Tagubara Jr. also settled for a silver medal in the World Combat Games.
Tabugara faltered against Elsayed Mohsen of Egypt in the final of the men's wushu 65 kilograms event on Sunday.
Aside from two silver medals, the Philippines has already snagged two bronze medals in the World Combat Games as of Sunday.
Thornton Sayan placed third in the men's wushu taolu nanquan and nangun event with a total score of 19.410 points.
Jones Llabres Inso also snagged a podium finish with a total score of 19.339 points in the men's wushu taolu taijiquan and taijijian event.
