A woman was found dead inside a motel in Manila on Friday, July 21.
According to a witness, the victim succumbed to a gunshot wound on her body.
Initial investigation showed the victim and her boyfriend booked into the motel on Thursday afternoon.
The suspect was seen on CCTV leaving the room by himself on Friday morning.
No disturbance or gunshot was heard by hotel workers. When the workers entered, the room was likewise spotless.
According to reports, the victim and the suspect drank in their room.
The suspect's known address was visited by the police and barangay staff, but they were unable to locate it.
Authorities are still in a search operation to find the suspect.
"Itong ating suspect inaalam namin ang status. Ang alam namin ay dati siyang police. 'Di lang namin makumpirma kung ito ay dismissed ba o AWOL ba," Manila Police District Homicide Section Chief Police Capt. Dennis Turla said.
