

The 73-year-old female, who jumped on the tracks of Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) -Quezon Avenue station, has passed away.
According to Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways Jorjetee Aquino, the elderly was pronounced dead at East Avenue Medical Center, Quezon City at 2:20 pm on Wednesday.
The investigation on the unfortunate incident continues, Aquino said.

Authorities rescued the unidentified female passenger after jumping onto the southbound tracks at around 12 noon.
Following the incident, the MRT-3 enforced provisional service between Shaw and Taft Avenue stations.
Normal and full operations had resumed in the afternoon.
