The wife of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) general, whose appointment was deferred by the Commission on Appointment (CA) due to alleged neglect to family, bared she would file a case against the latter before the civil court.
Speaking to Senate reporters on Tuesday, March 19, Tessa Luz Aura Reyes Sevilla stressed that nothing will stop her from suing her husband Brig. Gen Ranulfo Sevilla to block his impending promotion.
"Yes, tama kayo. I think the minimum would be to not get promoted. Whether or not, the AFP will call on an investigation or court martial. It's up to them. Ako, on my own, I will be filing cases against him in civil courts," she said.
Tessa challenged the AFP to conduct a "full-blown investigation" into the alleged stay of her husband's mistress in the AFP camp.
"Ibibigay ko lahat ng ebidensyang meron ako. Huwag na naman nating pagtakpan kasi 2021 nandyan na yung babae. Andaming footages pati events ay may footages. Kaya huwag na nating pagtakpan," she said.
"Sa mga kinauukulan ng AFP, the highers ups, especially Gen. Romeo Brawner. Sir, magkakilala tayo, you know who I am and I know who you are. So, alam naman natin kung ano ang nangyayari. Huwag na nating hayaan na magpatuloy," Tessa continued.
She then bared that other wives were also battered by their husbands who are AFP officials.
Tessa clarified that her intention was to right the wrong activities and not to ruin the AFP's image.
"At ang inyong sistema ay ayusin ninyo para yung mga nangangailangan na mga wives at katulad namin na walang sustento na inaabuso at niloloko ng mga asawa nila sa loob mismo ng aming tahanan at sa loob ng kampo. Tigilan na natin ito, gawin na natin yung tama. Be officers and gentlemen," she furthered.
On March 12, Tessa, came forward before the CA to raise that her husband had been abusing her and was not giving sufficient money to sustain the needs of their children. She also claimed that the AFP general is a womanizer.
