Presidential aspirant Leody De Guzman said on Friday that the country needs a new system of politics, one that would be for the people, which is why he should be elected as president.
Hindi ng iilan," De Guzman said during Friday's KBP Presidential Forum.
(I believe that we need new politics, a politics for the masses, politics for the people, and not just some.)
According to the labor leader, the Philippines has seen a variety of presidents, from billionaires to elitists, but nothing has changes after their terms.
(Nothing happened because they only favored the rich and capitalists. So instead, what happened is the rich became richer while the poor became poorer.)
(So this is why we need to try for a labor leader who does not make promises, but for 38 years has carried his platforms until now.)
De Guzman is running under the Partido Lakas ng Masa. He is also an advocate for laborers, and vows to fight poverty and climate change.
