Life in plastic, it’s fantastic in the Barbie world!

On Friday, Warner Bros. Pictures dropped the first teaser trailer of the upcoming live-action movie "Barbie."

The famous doll "Barbie" was portrayed by Australian actress and producer Margot Robbie while her tan and handsome boyfriend "Ken" was played by Canadian actor Ryan Gosling.

The opening scene of the teaser trailer gives the audience a “2001: A Space Odyssey” vibes wherein little girls are seen playing with baby dolls in a desert setting.

“Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been dolls. But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls. Until...” the narrator said.

Margot, dressed in a striped black and white bikini with white sunglasses, then appears as a gigantic plastic doll. Her presence makes the little girls run and abandon their baby dolls.

The trailer also gives a glimpse of a city painted in all bright pink wherein Margot is seen standing wearing her checkered pink dress with a bow.

Ryan, in blonde hair and tan skinned, also appears in the preview video.

"Barbie" is directed by American actress and film director Greta Gerwig.

The live-action movie is set to premiere in theaters on July 21, 2023.
