Netflix dropped the official teaser for &ldquo;Damsel&rdquo; starring British actress Millie Bobby Brown set to premiere on the streaming platform in 2024.&nbsp;
According to Netflix, Oscar-nominated director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo flipped the archetypal damsel-in-distress stories into a shocking twist: her Prince Charming sacrificed her to a dragon, leading the said damsel to rely solely on herself.&nbsp;
&ldquo;It was a very intense journey that I was so excited to design and to develop. At the core, this is such a beautiful story about a young woman becoming a strong, independent, and empowered adult. Elodie doesn&rsquo;t have any kind of support. It&rsquo;s a real survival experience,&rdquo; Fresnadillo said.
The first teaser unveils a shot of Elodie sprinting to hide from a dragon and seemingly trailing from behind with a rendition of Timber Timbre&rsquo;s &ldquo;Run From Me&rdquo; playing in the background.&nbsp;
Netflix explained that &ldquo;Damsel&rdquo; follows a damsel who agreed to marry a prince only to discover that it was the royal family&rsquo;s trap to repay an ancient debt. Elodie gets hurled into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon where she fights to survive.&nbsp;
