Dearest gentle reader, are you ready for Polin’s season?

Netflix dropped on Tuesday, Dec. 12, the release dates for the third season of “Bridgerton" set to arrive in two parts with part one appearing on May 16 and the part two on June 13 in the streaming behemoth.

“Lady Whistledown's silence is over, and it would seem she is revealing the Ton's most speculated secret yet,” the caption read, teasing the rekindling friendship of the wallflower Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and traveler Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

Set years after Penelope heard Colin’s belittling words last season, she takes on the new task of removing her longtime crush from her life and getting married. But the bids toward marriage proves a daunting task for the wallflower.

“...lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder,” the season’s synopsis read.

Colin tries to mend their friendship back, but the unbridled feelings thread its way in the fabric of his heart, prompting the question of where the relationship lies.

“Bridgerton” regulars Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Lorraine Ashbourne, Hannah Dodd, Simone Ashley, and Jonathan Bailey will join Coughlan and Luke.

Meanwhile, the new season also opens doors to new casts. Daniel Francis will play Marcus Anderson; James Phoon will portray the role of Harry Dankworth; and Sam Phillips will appear as Lord Debling.

The “Bridgerton” franchise is a historical fiction-romance based on the book series of the same name by author Julia Quinn.
