Filipina actress Liza Soberano dazed viewers as production company Focus Features released the official trailer of “Lisa Frankenstein” ahead of its February 9 theater release.

Marking the Filipina actress’s Hollywood debut, Soberano plays the role of Taffy, the stepsister of Kathryn Newton’s character.

The nearly three-minute trailer follows teenager Lisa whose crush, played by Cole Sprouse, happened to be a handsome corpse. Together, they get to know each other while Lisa’s newfound relationship gets entangled with her personality, family, and friends.

From acclaimed writer Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body) and director Zelda Williams in her feature-length directorial debut comes a coming-of-age romance retelling of the Victor Frankenstein story in Mary Shelley's 1818 novel.

“After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way,” the logline reads.

Joining Newton, Sprouse, and Soberano in the “Lisa Frankenstein” are Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest, and Henry Eikenberry.
