“The Garfield Movie” dropped its official trailer on Monday, March 4, featuring the infamous tabby cat’s adventure-filled journey.
“Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure!”
“After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, scruffy street cat Vic, Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious high-stakes heist,” its synopsis read.
The two-minute trailer follows Garfield’s origin from when he was adopted by Jon to the time he befriended the wonder’s pup Odie. Together, they trudge through a series of adventures spurred by their meet-up with Garfield’s “father” Vic.
“The Garfield Movie” is voiced by Chris Pratt (Garfield), Samuel L. Jackson (Vic), Nicholas Hoult (Jon), and Harvey Guillén (Odie).
The animated film is set to premiere in theaters on May 24.
