Her web connects them all. But how exactly?
As Sony Pictures unveiled the official trailer for &ldquo;Spider-Man&rdquo; spinoff &ldquo;Madame Web,&rdquo; a string of questions on her clairvoyance, fragmented visions, and a man in a black spidey suit wreaking havoc in her life take place.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities,&rdquo; the logline read.
&ldquo;Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures...if they can all survive a deadly present,&rdquo; it added.&nbsp;
According to director S.J. Clarkson, &ldquo;Madame Web&rdquo; is different from any other superhero.&nbsp;
&ldquo;When you think about how Spiderman flies through the air or Venom when he changes, it&rsquo;s so mythical to us. With her, it&rsquo;s all psychological and I found that incredibly exciting to explore,&rdquo; she said.&nbsp;
The trailer shows Cassandra holding the key to the girls being sewn together in a universe filled with superpowers, Clarkson confirmed.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Madame Web brings these four superheroes [and] works together,&rdquo; Clarkson said.&nbsp;
Together with Dakota are Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.
&ldquo;Madame Web&rdquo; is set to hit theaters on February 14.
