"I joined the procession to wish for good fortune for my family, good health and for my future plans," Ian Lanaria, 24, told Reuters. As part of the preparations to hold Traslacion on 2024, Quiapo Church will hold a "walk-through" of the route for the procession of the Black Nazarene.
In an advisory, the church urges the public to participate in the "walkthrough" on Saturday, December 16, that will start at 5:00AM, at the Quirino Grandstand.
For three years, the annual Traslacion, also known as the Feast of the Black Nazarene, has been shelved due to the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
The procession, which amasses thousands of devotees, begins at the Quirino Grandstand and ends at Quiapo Church, also known as the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene.
