Classes have been suspended on Tuesday, July 25, due to the inclement weather caused by the Super Typhoon Egay.

As per the latest update from the PAGASA, there is a possibility of raising Storm Signal No. 4 and 5 in certain areas of Luzon, as Super Typhoon continues to gain strength.

Signal No. 3 is currently in effect for Babuyan Islands, the northern and eastern regions of mainland Cagayan, the northeastern part of Isabela, and the northern part of Apayao.

The following is a list of regions with suspended classes:

LUZON

  • Pasig City – all levels (both public and private schools)
  • Ilocos Sur – all levels (both public and private schools)
  • Cagayan – all levels (both public and private schools) and all government offices
  • Batanes – all government offices
  • Laguna – all levels (both public and private schools)
  • San Mateo – preschool to senior high school (both public and private schools)
  • Morong, Rizal – all levels (both public and private schools)
  • Angeles City, Pampanga – all levels (both public and private schools)
  • Rizal, Occidental Mindoro – all levels (both public and private schools)

According to the stte weather bureau, Egay expected to pass through or make a landfall on Babuyan Islands by Wednesday.

The weather agency mentioned that heavy to torrential rains will persist in Northern Luzon until Friday due to the enhanced Super Typhoon Egay and southwest monsoon or habagat.
