Some schools and local government units (LGUs) announced the suspension of classes on Wednesday, April 3 due to the high heat index levels.

The following is the list of class suspensions today:

NCR

• Pasay City – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)

Region 1

• Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes from pre-school to high school (public and private) from April 2 to 5, 2024
• Mapandan, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes in all schools (public and private) on April 3, 2024
• Manaoag, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes from pre-school to senior high school (public and private) from April 3 to 4, 2024

Region 6

• Iloilo City: no face-to-face classes at all levels within its territorial jurisdiction. Private schools and higher education institutions, including graduate classes, may proceed with the resumption of face-to-face classes subject to the full discretion of school heads or administrators
• Isabela, Negros Occidental: class suspension at all levels

Region 7

• Talisay, Cebu: no face-to-face classes in public schools from April 3 to 14, 2024. Classes in private schools will be at the discretion of their respective school administration.

Region 12

• General Santos City: no face-to-face classes from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 2 to 5, 2024
• South Cotabato Tantangan: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 1 to 15, 2024
• Banga: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 1 to 15, 2024
• Polomolok: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 1 to 15, 2024
• Tupi: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 3 to 12, 2024, except schools in Barangay Miasong and Kablon
• Sarangani Province: no face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private) from April 3 to 19, 2024
