#WalangPasok: Several areas in NCR suspend classes due to anticipated high heat index

Several local governments in Metro Manila have suspended face-to-face classes on Monday, March 3, due to an anticipated high heat index.
Here is the list of areas that declared class cancellations:
- Malabon City (No face-to-face classes at all levels; Modular distance learning; public and private)
- Las Piñas (No face-to-face classes at all levels; asynchronous classes; public and private)
- Caloocan City (No face-to-face classes; asynchronous classes, kindergarten to senior high school; the decision regarding private schools' classes is up to their respective management)
- Valenzuela City (No face-to-face classes; Pre-school to senior high school; both public and private schools. Based on the automatic class suspension ordinance, online classes will be implemented if the heat index reaches 42°C. The decision regarding classes in state/local and private colleges/universities will be left to their respective management.)
- Parañaque City (No face-to-face classes at all levels; online/asynchronous classes; public and private)
- Marikina City (No face-to-face classes at all levels; public and private)
- Manila City (No face-to-face classes at all levels; public and private)
- Pasay City (No face-to-face classes at all levels; public and private).
According to PAGASA’s heat index forecast, the heat index is expected to range from 42°C to 51°C on Monday, which falls within the "danger" range.
