#WalangPasok: List of schools that suspended classes due to Taal's vog

Due to the significant volume of volcanic smog, or "vog," being released by Taal Volcano, several schools in the Calabarzon region suspended classes on Monday, August 19.
Here is a list of areas that announced class suspensions:
- Laurel, Batangas- no classes, preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Nasugbu, Batangas- no face-to-face classes, elementary to college, public and private; shift to modular/online
- Tanauan City, Batangas - no classes, all levels, public and private
- Sto. Tomas, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; shift to modular/online
- Calaca, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public
- San Jose, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; shift to modular/online
- San Luis, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public; shift to modular/online
- Agoncillo, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
- Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; shift to modular/online
- Lemery, Batangas - no classes, all levels, public and private
- Bauan, Batangas - no face-to-face classes; back to modular learning system in all levels, public and private
- Lipa City, Batangas - no general suspension of classes. A granular shift to modular/online distance learning (ODL) is to be implemented based on the recommendation of the school administration. Schools in Halang, Sico, and San Salvador to implement ODL.
- Malvar, Batangas - no face-to-face classes; back to modular learning system in all levels, public and private
- Balayan, Batangas -
- Ibaan, Batangas - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
- Calamba, Laguna - no face-to-face classes, all levels
- Cabuyao, Laguna - no face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Biñan City, Laguna - no face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Los Baños, Laguna - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
- San Pedro, Laguna - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; modular and asynchronous learning should be implemented
- Silang, Cavite - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; shift to modular/online
- Dasmariñas City, Cavite - no classes, all levels, public and private
- Indang Cavite - no classes, all levels, public and private
- Alfonso, Cavite - no classes, all levels, public and private
- Mendez, Cavite - no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
In an interview during "For Tonight Only" at midnight on Sunday, PHIVOLCS Director Teresita Bacolcol reported that vog was observed Sunday afternoon in several areas, including Laurel, Tuy, Calaca, Tingloy, San Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Lemery, Talisay, Balete, Sta. Teresita, Malvar, Alitagtag, and Batangas City.
PHIVOLCS reported that no vog was observed until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Bacolcol stated that Taal Volcano remains under Alert Level 1, and there is currently no indication that this alert level will be raised.
