The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and Soccsksargen approved an increase in the minimum wage of their respective regions.
The minimum wage increase will start to take effect on October 17.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Wednesday, October 2, that the RTWPB-Region II granted a Php 30 minimum daily wage increase for both agriculture, and non-agriculture sectors.
"This brings the daily minimum wages from P450 to P480 for the non-agriculture sector, and from P430 to P460.00 for the agriculture sector," DOLE said in a press release.
RTWPB-Region II also pushed the monthly wage of household workers in Cagayan Valley to Php 6,000 after approving a Php 500 increase in their monthly salary.
Meanwhile, in Central Luzon, the RTWPB-Region III approved a monthly wage hike of at least Php 50 up to Php 66, divided by two tranches.
After the completion of the all tranches on April 16, 2025, the daily minimum wage in Central Luzon will range between Php 500 to Php 550 in the non-agriculture sector, Php 485 to Php 520 in the non-agriculture sector, and Php 435 to Php 540 in retail and service establishments.
For Soccsksargen, RTWPB-Region XII pushed the daily minimum rates to Php 430 in the non-agriculture sector, including retail and service establishments, and Php 410 in the agriculture sector.
Soccsksargen will implement the wage hike in four tranches, with the last tranche taking effect on June 1, 2025.
"The adjustments, which vary per region, were reached through a collaborative consensus and unanimously approved by the members of the respective RTWPBs," DOLE said.
DOLE expects that a total of 905,000 minimum wage earners will benefit from the wage hike increase in the three regions.
