Vice President Sara Duterte arrived at the Quezon City Hall of Justice at 8:27 a.m. Friday for her scheduled arraignment on three counts of grave threats.
Police and the Quezon City government’s Task Force Disiplina had cordoned off the area around the courthouse ahead of the proceedings.
Vloggers, members of the media and police personnel were seen around the building, with no rallyists spotted as of early Friday morning.
Duterte’s arraignment, initially scheduled for September, was postponed to Oct. 9 following reported motions from her camp asking Judge Maria Angelica De Ramos to inhibit herself from handling the case.
The charges stem from Duterte’s alleged threats against members of the Marcos family in 2024.
Duterte has posted bail of ₱350,000 for all three counts of grave threats.
