Vice President Sara Duterte believes that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. still trusts her and that their relationship remains "okay" amid rumors of impeachment.
This was Duterte's response when asked by reporters during the sidelines of the World Children's Day celebration at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
She also echoed the same statement in a press briefing at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's (MMDA) command office on Sunday.
"I believe I still have the trust of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Why? Because before he left, I asked him about the impeachment. He told me about the truth that he knows about the impeachment," the Education Secretary said.
Rumors of Duterte's impeachment continuous to loom after House Speaker Martin Romualdez stripped off the Office of the Vice President of its controversial PHP 650-million confidential fund under the proposed 2024 national budget.
