Vice President Sara Duterte said that she has no idea about the viral video where she allegedly snubbed House Speaker Martin Romualdez during a welcome at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.

Based on the video, Duterte was seen shaking hands with government officials. When Romualdez was able to prepare his hands, Duterte walked through and made handshakes with other officials.

“Oh, Hindi ko nakita. Hindi ko nakita yung nasa social media. [Hindi] ako maka-comment. Wala ako nakita,” said the Vice President in an amush interview with reporters.

Last week, Romualdez joined President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on his three-day trip to the United States, where Duterte was present to welcome their return.

In May of this year, the vice president announced her permanent departure from the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party. Before her resignation, she served as the party's chairperson.

Romualdez, meanwhile, is Lakas-CMD president.

Duterte's resignation from Lakas-CMD followed the demotion of Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, a close ally of older Duterte, from the position of House deputy speaker.

The House of Representatives recently eliminated confidential and intelligence funds (CIF) from several civilian agencies, including Duterte's Department of Education and the Office of the Vice President.
