Several voters from various sectors flocked to Nagpayong Elementary School in Pasig City, ahead of the early voting hours on Monday, May 12.
Based on the report by RH 52 Edniel Parrosa, 47,249 voters crowded the halls of Nagpayong Elementary School as early as 5 AM on Monday. Unlike other precincts, the residents who flocked to the school were a mix of senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and regular voters.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) previously mentioned that the area would amass the largest number of voters this year.
From 5 AM today, regular voters were already seen entering the gates of the school. However, the staff and volunteers said that regular voters would have to wait until 7 AM to vote.
During the early voting hours, only the priority sector: senior citizens, PDWs, and heavily pregnant women, are allowed to cast their votes. However, the report mentioned that the priority sector also faced issues with the long lines, especially in the priority polling area.
Due to the influx of voters on early Monday, some senior citizens had no choice but to climb up to the second and third floors of the building, as the designated polling area on the ground floor for the priority sector was already crowded and had long lines.

According to staff, they will be observing a first-come, first-serve basis for all senior citizens and PWDs.

Additionally, those who will go directly to the priority polling place need to line up before being allowed to enter the rooms. Staff will assist them inside and give them their precinct numbers.
Meanwhile, regular voters will be allowed to cast their votes starting at 7 AM.
