The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that voter registration in relation to the 2025 Midterm Elections would resume on February 12.
In a press statement issued on January 10, Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said citizens can register at the Comelec offices in their respective municipalities until September 30 this year.
The registration will be open from 8 AM to 5 PM, from Monday to Saturday, including Holidays.
"[E]xcept when declared otherwise by the COMELEC, and except on March 28, 29, and 30, 2024 (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday), and shall last until September 30, 2024," Lauidanco noted.
The poll body spokesperson said registrants must fill out an application form, which the physical copy can be acquired from the Office of the Election Officer or through the Comelec's website.
Meanwhile, Laudiangco said voters who plan to reactivate their registration or those with correction of entries can file their application online until September 7.
The Comelec spokesperson also announced that the registration for Filipinos residing or working abroad would end on September 30.
"All Filipino citizens of voting age who will be abroad or overseas during the 2025 can register as an overseas voter," he said.
The poll body, according to Laudiangco, will commence the Register Anywhere Program in all capital cities and towns and highly urbanized cities nationwide on February 12.
The said program would allow citizens to file their applications for new registrations, transfer of registrations, correction of entries, or reactivation in malls, universities, or government offices.
