The Commission on Election (Comelec) has bared that it is mulling conducting a series of integrated and enhanced voter education programs for the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and their respective families.
In a press statement released Saturday, Comelec said it forged a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the implementation of voter education.
More than one million families are expected to be given orientations and information about "nation-building and patriotism", it said.
The voter education programs will also discuss the "essence of democracy through responsible, educated, and accountable voting as integrated in the already existing modules."
The poll body said the technical working group, composed of Comelec and DSWD officials has conducted a meeting for the Memorandum of Agreement to finalize the endeavor.
