Korean voice actor Lee Woo-ri passed away at 24.
Colleague Lee Dal-lae announced in an Instagram post that Woo-r died on March 14.
“[Lee Woo-ri’s] fellow voice actors and the others who knew him are all having a hard time hiding our sorrow at the sudden and tragic news of his death. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, I am sharing the final news of the departed with the fans who loved and cared for him,” she wrote (translation via Soompi).
Dal-lae urged the voice actor’s fans to pray for his eternal peace.
“To all the fans who love voice actor Lee Woo Ri and remember his acting, I ask that you pray together with us for my colleague Woo Ri to rest comfortably in eternal peace,” she continued.
Woo-ri reportedly debuted as a voice actor for Tooniverse at 21, which made him the youngest male voice actor under CJ ENM.
In his three-year voice acting stint, he voiced iconic characters in the hit anime “Case Closed” (“Great Detective Conan”), “Crayon Shin-Chan,” and “The Haunted House.”
He also voiced characters in hit online games “Genshin Impact” and “Cookie Run: Kingdom.”
