Sen. Cynthia Villar made headlines after a video surfaced of her berating a private security officer and his supervisor for erecting barricades on a stretch of road in Las Pi&ntilde;as that she had previously cleared of illegal settlers.
The six-minute and 32-second video, shared on Facebook by JC Dela Cruz World, received both positive and critical comments and reactions from Villar, who was seen confronting two people for erecting metal obstacles on the road.
The footage showed Villar holding the guard's arm while another guy, allegedly his supervisor, begged the senator not to hurt his employee.
Villar denied injuring the guard and told him to leave.
