Pidigan, Abra Vice Mayor Noel Menor Bisares was shot by two unidentified gunmen on Thursday morning in Barangay Pamutic, Pidigan, Abra.

According to RH Romy Gonzales' report, initial reports indicated that Bisares, 56, was sitting inside their hardware store around 8:40 a.m. when two men on a motorcycle stopped in front of the establishment.

The passenger entered the store and shot Bisares multiple times before both suspects fled in an unknown direction.

After the shooting, Bisares' wife immediately called the Pidigan police, who quickly responded to the scene.

Bisares sustained gunshot wounds to his right shoulder and arm. His family rushed him to Northside Hospital in Bantay, Ilocos Sur for treatment.

Police suspect that a .45 caliber gun was used in the attack.

A hot pursuit operation is ongoing, and authorities are conducting a deeper investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting.
