A black SUV rammed into the entrance/exit doors of NAIA Terminal 1 in Pasay City early Sunday, May 4.

RH 5 Val Gonzales reported the same day that the vehicle crashed into one of the entrance/exits of the terminal. A handful of individuals sustained injuries, although the exact number has yet to be confirmed.

In a follow-up report, Gonzales stated that security personnel were restraining a man who said that his child was still stuck under the vehicle. According to the report, the man was screaming and grieving over what happened to his child.

As of 9:34 AM, the report mentioned that authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of fatalities and injuries from the incident. The current figures mentioned by various authorities vary, and an investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

Security groups, personnel, and paramedics are currently at the location.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 8:55 AM on Sunday. According to their X post, social media reports indicated that “several passengers and well-wishers sustained injuries.”

In response, the PRC dispatched Unit 2161 with three personnel at 9:05 AM.

Its Operations Center also coordinated with the Pasay Police Station and Airport Substation 8 to confirm and monitor the incident.

Further details, including the cause of the incident, have yet to be confirmed by authorities.
