President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has officially named Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens as the global tourism ambassador of the Philippines.
Hudgens made a courtesy visit at Malacañang where she was given a plaque of recognition.
In the photos posted by Malacañang, the 34-year-old actress was joined by Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications Secretary Paul Soriano and Tourism Secretary Maria Christina Garcia Frasco.
On Sunday, Hudgens arrived in the country to shoot for a travel documentary that will dive into her family history and her Filipino roots. The docu-film is directed by Soriano.
After her arrival, the Holywood actress went hiking and swimming with her mother and sister in El Nido, Palawan.
She shared several photos of her trip on her Instagram account.
Hudgens rose to fame after her remarkable portrayal of Gabriela Montez in the film series "High School Musical" that first premiered in 2006.
