The local government unit of Valenzuela City is offering "Libreng Sakay" to help commuters during the week-long transport strike beginning Monday, March 6.
Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian confirmed the deployment if eight trucks with the following routes:
- MacArthur Highway Malanday to Marulas
- Malanday to Polo
- Malinta to Novaliches
- Polo to Monumento
On Wednesday, Gatchalian had a meeting with several members of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA) in the city to guarantee that they will continue operations despite the strike.
