A phenomenal win!

USA men’s basketball team clinched its fifth consecutive and 17th Olympic gold medal following a nail-biting finals match with France at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.

In this intense rematch, the USA blocked France’s efforts to avenge their loss from the Tokyo Olympics where the Americans narrowly defeated the French to secure their fourth straight title.

Team USA didn’t falter despite playing in front of a packed and noisy crowd at the Bercy Arena.

In what seems to be an all-star roster, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant led the charge, the Americans secured a 98-87 win against the host nation, France.

USA had full control on the first quarter making it difficult for the opponent team to appear dominant and take the lead.

With a surge of determination, France’s Victor Wembanyama and Guerschon Yabusele took the lead and managed to secure a slight advantage over the USA.

Motivated by France’s push, LeBron James collaborated with Stephen Curry to orchestrate a series of three-pointers, gaining a lead over France.

LeBron James cementing his name in Olympic history as he emerged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his consistent and notable play all throughout the tournament.

Stephen Curry, in his Olympic debut, showcased to the world his impressive three-point shooting skills. His standout performance significantly contributed to the team's victory and gold medal in this match-up.

Moreover, with his mark as one of the greatest of all time, Kevin Durant now holds the record for the most Olympic gold medals in men’s basketball history.
