Biden names US delegation for Marcos' inauguration

United States (US) President Joe Biden has named the members of the US delegation that will attend the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Thursday, June 30.
In a statement, the White House said US Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, husband of US Vice President Kamala Harris, will lead the delegation.
Aside from Emhoff, the following delegation members will also attend the inauguration:
- Heather Variava, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim, US Embassy Manila
- Bobby Scott, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor, United States Representative (D), Virginia
- Nani A. Coloretti, Deputy Director, Office of Management and Budget
- Admiral James “Sandy” A. Winnefeld, Jr. (Ret.), Former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
- Edgard D. Kagan, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for East Asia and Oceania, National Security Council
- Chantale Y. Wong, US Director of the Asian Development Bank
Marcos is set to take his oath as the 17th President. of the Philippines at the National Museum in Manila.
