Team USA remains undefeated in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The five-time World Cup champions completed a sweep of the first round after routing Jordan, 110-62, on Wednesday, August 30, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Anthony Edwards finished with 22 points and Bobby Portis Jr. added 13 points for the third victory of the Americans.

Team USA never let go of the lead after scoring the first eight points of the match.

At the end of the first quarter, Tyrese Haliburton and Cameron Johnson buried back-to-back three point baskets to put Jordan in a 19-point hole, 31-12.

Rondae Hollis Jefferson scored 20 points while Freddy Ibrahim chipped in 10 points to lead Jordan that trailed behind by 50 points at most.

Team USA now prepares to go up against Montenegro and Lithuania in the second round of the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Jordan, after losing all three games in the first round, dropped out of contention for the title but will still face Egypt and Mexico to decide their ranking in the tournament.
