Unconsolidated public utility vehicles can continue to operate until the end of April.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board issued Memorandum Circular No. 2024-01 that extends the authority to operate of all unconsolidated individual operators until April 30 provided that they register their unit with the Land Transportation Office, and have a valid Personal Passenger Accident Insurance Coverage.
"Confirmation of units of unconsolidated individuall operators may be allowed 30 April 2024. The said units are allowed to ply the route as PUV only within the said period," read the circular.
The issuance of the circular stemmed from the decision of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to extend the deadline for public utility vehicle (PUV) consolidation until April 30.
