The season finale of the hit superhero series "The Umbrella Academy" will premiere on August 8, Netflix announced.
According to the streaming platform, the final installment will be composed of only six episodes, away from the usual 10 episodes of all three previous seasons.
The television series' social media pages also offered a sneak peek at the characters now — the characters walk into frame as kids and out of frame as adults, teasing their growth.
"hello: February 15, 2019. goodbye: August 8, 2024. The final season of The Umbrella Academy is coming… only on Netflix," the caption read.
Lead actors Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, David Castañeda, and Ritu Arya are all confirmed to be returning for the last season.
Meanwhile, newcomers for season 4 include Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and David Cross.
“The Umbrella Academy” last released episodes when Season 3 hit Netflix in June 2022. The show debuted in 2019, with a second season shortly following in 2020.
The series is an adaptation of the graphic novels of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá.
