Filipino athlete Janry Ubas bagged the gold medal in the men's long jump event of the Motonet Grand Prix Lappeenranta on Wednesday, July 19, in Finland.

The 29-year-old athlete registered a 7.86-meter jump to rule the event.

Kasper Vehmaa of Finland placed second with a jump of 7.75 meters while Australian athlete Zane Branco seized the bronze medal with a leap of 7.70 meters.

Prior to the tournament, Ubas registered a jump of 7.85 meters to win the gold medal in the 2023 Southeast Asian Games held in Cambodia.
