Two individuals were shot dead by two unidentified gunmen while on board a bus in Brgy. Minuli, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
Interviewed by RH Grace Sansano, Carranglan Police Major Rey Ian Agliam said the victims were live-in partners and they were identified as Gloria Antilano, 60, and Arman Bautista, 55.
The victims reportedly came from Cauayan City, Isabela and they were en route to Tarlac province.
“Yung mga gunman po, according sa conductor, sumakay from Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, then yung shooting incident ay nangyari dito sa pababa ng Barangay Minuli sa bayan ng Carranglan,” Agliam said.
He said the eyewitnesses had recounted that the suspects escaped to the mountainous part of Brgy. Minuli.
“Casually naglakad sila. Ayun yung inaalam natin kung baka may nakasunod na vehicle,” the Police General added.
Empty shells of caliber .45 and bullets were recovered at the crime scene, according to Agliam.
He stated that the Carranglan Police are now probing the possible motives of the suspects.
“May tinitingnan na tayo na motibo, nag-dispatch na ang teams doon sa Tarlac sa Cauayan City, Nueva Ecija para malalimang imbestigahan ang whereabouts ng suspects,” Agliam said.
DZRH News has obtained dashcam footage that captured the shooting incident.
Based on the dashcam video, the two suspects were seen walking toward the front seats of the bus where the two victims were seen sleeping.
The suspects then shot the live-in partners multiple times.
According to the Carranglan Police Major, the victims were severely shot in the head.
