Social media platform Twitter has been rebranded to "X" on Monday, July 24.
Without an official announcement, Twitter suddenly changed its profile name to "X" — which is named after X Corp., the American technology company that owns the social media platform.
It also changed the logo into an all-black logo with the letter "X" in the middle from the iconic blue bird logo and its header into all black.
Twitter chief executive officer (CEO) Elon Musk likewise changed his profile picture with the new logo.
Other accounts associated with Twitter, including Subscription, Blue Subscription, and Writes, followed the development.
On his official Twitter account, Elon Musk shared a photo of Twitter's headquarters which has an "X" logo.

Before the rebranding on Monday, the Twitter CEO first hinted at the rebranding by posting a video teaser.

Following this, the logo of Twitter on the homepage has turned into "X".
The rebandring comes after controversial changes in Twitter such as temporary limits on the number of tweets that a user will be able to read per day and limiting of TweetDeck for verified users only.
