Television host and former reporter Daphne Oseña-Paez has been named as the new press briefer of the Malacañang Palace.
She was introduced by Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) officer-in-charge Cheloy Garafil in a press briefing on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
"Siya ang magiging tagapaghatid ng balita at impormasyon tungkol sa balita at impormasyon tungkol sa mga gawain ni Pangulong Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.,” Garafil said.
In her short speech before laying down what had been discussed during the 13th Cabinet meeting, Oseña-Paez said she is looking forward to working with the Malacañang Press Corps.
“I am very honored to be communicating the message and programs of this administration of course in an accurate and effective way and I will do my best,” she added.
Garafil noted that Oseña-Paez is not new in the field as she was a former Malacañang beat reporter.
Oseña-Paez started her career as a former news reporter for ABS-CBN News and Studio 23.
She was previously appointed as the UNICEF Special Advocate for Children in 2019.
Oseña-Paez finished a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Specialist in Art History at the University of Toronto in Canada.
