A new era is upon us, Swifties!
On early Tuesday, August 12 (Philippine time), Taylor Swift sent fans into a frenzy after a mysterious countdown appeared on her official website.
The countdown, filled with orange glitter and mint green text, ended at 12:12 PM (Philippine time) on Tuesday, revealing a pre-order for her 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl” on vinyl, cassette, and CD with a poster.
Hours later, a teaser for Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” featuring the singer-songwriter, dropped.
“I wanted to show you something,” Taylor said in the snippet, getting hold of a mint green briefcase with the letters “TS” engraved in the color orange.
“This is my brand new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” the musician added.

Taylor’s social media team, Taylor Nation, also hinted at a new album earlier today.
Thinking about when she said “See you next era…” ❤️🔥” Taylor Nation captioned its post.
This marks Taylor’s 12th studio album and first project since the release of the Grammy-nominated “The Tortured Poets Department” album in 2024.
Last May, Taylor announced that she had bought back the rights to her entire music catalog, a few years after the heated feud between the musician and record executives. This particular business move prompted the musician to re-record and re-release her albums, dubbed “Taylor’s Version,” to take back ownership of her songs.
The said albums outsold the originals, furthering her career into superstardom, as Taylor’s “The Eras Tour,” which ran from 2023 to 2024, was highly anticipated among fans and made waves in pop culture.
To accompany the album announcement, Taylor curated a Spotify playlist titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you,” filled with songs from albums like “1989,” “reputation,” and “Red.”
