The trust rating of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. went up in the second quarter of 2024, while Vice President Sara Duterte experienced a dip in the same period.

Based on the 'Tugon ng Masa Survey' conducted by the OCTA Research, the trust rating of President Marcos rose to 71 percent from 69 percent recorded in the first quarter of 2024.

Meanwhile, the trust rating of Vice President Duterte dropped to 65 percent, three percent points lower compared to the 68 percent in the first quarter of 2024.

"It must be noted that this is the second consecutive quarter that (Vice President Duterte) experienced a decline in her trust ratings, continuing the slide since the 4th quarter TNM survey conducted last December 2023," OCTA Research states in the report.

The survey of OCTA Research also found that 68 percent of Filipinos feel satisfied with the performance of President Marcos.

The performance rating of the President went up by three percentage points from 65 percent recorded during the first quarter of 2024.

For Vice President Duterte, her performance rating went down to 60 percent from 64 percent in the first quarter of 2024.

OCTA Research noted that President Marcos experienced an eight-point increase in both trust rating (56 percent), and performance rating (56 percent) in Mindanao.

OCTA conducted the survey through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents aged 18 years and above from June 30 to July 5.
