Five people died and one was injured after a collision involving a truck and an AUV on Maharlika Highway in San Isidro, Bulacan on Thursday, August 17.

Based on the authority's initial interview, the truck tried to overtake the other truck but unfortunately, the truck lost control, which resulted in the truck hitting and dragging the AUV in its other lane.

Passengers on the AUV died. They were identified as Nelson Magundayao, Arlene Sipson, Crispin Garcia, Crisanto Garcia, and Christopher Lachico.

CCTV footage was taken at the location of the incident.

The truck driver was arrested and charged with Reckless Imprudence Resulting in multiple homicides.
