TNT Tropang 5G has officially launched “RHJ on Tour,” a nationwide basketball clinic spearheaded by former NBA player and three-time PBA Best Import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
The program offers free basketball training to young Filipino players as part of TNT’s grassroots sports development initiatives.
The tour began on June 7 in Quezon City and will run every weekend through the end of July, with stops across Metro Manila and select provinces.
The initiative serves as a platform for Hollis-Jefferson and the Tropang 5G team to give back to fans and promote youth development through basketball.
“This is something truly special for me as I have become quite a Filipino by heart playing for Tropang 5G,” said Hollis-Jefferson, who played six seasons in the NBA after being drafted 23rd overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2015. “I look at this basketball tour as a huge opportunity to share my experience and push young Filipino players to chase their dreams and become the future of the game.”
Joining Hollis-Jefferson on the tour are TNT veterans Jayson Castro, team manager Jojo Lastimosa, and assistant coaches Ranidel de Ocampo and Bong Ravena.
The camp provides technical training, life values education, and motivational talks, with Hollis-Jefferson emphasizing lessons beyond the court, including the importance of education, family, and respect.
Castro, who is currently recovering from injury, expressed his commitment to the program, saying, “This is also an opportunity for me to share what I can to more young players. With the help of RHJ and our other coaches—Ranidel, coach Jolas, and coach Bong—we want to reach as many kids as possible to support their dreams and love for the game.”
The tour also coincides with TNT’s 25th anniversary celebration, featuring various promos and events designed to bring more enjoyment and opportunities to its subscribers. Powered by TNT 5G, the RHJ on Tour allows young players to access basketball content, learn new drills, and stay connected with fellow aspiring athletes.
