Thinking about leaving behind the pain of the past and finally moving on? This non-profit organization is redefining charity with the #BreakUpBox.
No, you’re not seeing things. It really is called the #BreakUpBox. Whether you’ve already decluttered all of your ex’s belongings or mementoes and gifts from your past relationship, or if you’re just planning on putting them all in one box, the organization has got you covered.
Caritas Manila is offering a new alternative for moving on with donating items from the dreaded ex-box. The organization said in its social media post, “Your ex may not have a second chance, but their belongings do.”
Who knew charity and moving on could mesh well together?
Although it is catered to people, the main purpose of the initiative is to give the pre-loved items a second life.
Boxes can be filled with still-useful things from a past relationship. According to Caritas Manila, the box can hold two things: all your ex’s things and “lahat ng sama ng loob.”
If you're curious about how to donate your own #BreakUpBox to Caritas Manila, here are the steps provided by the organization:
- Use any box and fill it with what to let go of
- Drop it off at any of the Segunda Mana drop-off centers
- Say thank you, and goodbye
Don’t forget to take a photo of the box to receive a token from the organization.
