The highly-anticipated event, 'The Exchange: The Filipino and Thai Concert Experience,' which was set to take place in the Philippines this June 2023, has been officially canceled.
The decision comes in response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases among key members of the event's core team and the critical health condition of Thai celebrity Kantapong Bumrungak, who is currently in a coma and receiving intensive care in Thailand.
In an official statement, the organizers expressed their concern for the health and safety of everyone involved in the production as well as the fans.
The statement further read, "With the rising COVID-19 cases involving key members of its core team as well as the condition of one of its featured artists — Thai celebrity Kantapong Bumrungak, who fell into a coma and is currently confined at the ICU in Thailand, the organizers of The Exchange: Thailand is officially canceling the event that is set to happen in the Philippines this June 2023 at World Trade Center, Pasay City."
"With strict safety protocols in mind, it is with careful and thoughtful consideration that the organizers arrived at this decision for the health, safety, and best interest of everyone involved in the production as well as that of the fans. Accordingly, all ticket buyers will be refunded. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate the support and understanding of the public."
The organizers assured that all ticket buyers will be refunded and expressed sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the announcement.
